Hello all, I'm hoping someone can help me with a question:
We have implemented 2 step picking in our outbound delivery processing and use a BDC of transaction LT42 to trigger the creation of the allocation (second step) transfer order. The reason I am posting is because the business has an issue with the way SAP manages the allocation piece when there is a short pick in the first step.
Essentially, they want SAP to automatically update the delivery for which there was a short pick (the business understands there could be multiple deliveries for a material/batch and they don't care which delivery or deliveries are updated with reduced quantities).
I have found ways to allow the allocation piece to occur by allowing negative stocks in the interim storage type but what I'm looking for is a flag to update a delivery with available quantities when transfer order creation occurs.
I know you can flag for delivery update from actual pick quantities but this wouldn't work because we are not yet picking the allocation step. I am hoping to do this through configuration but if anyone has seen this done through a custom program then that detail is also welcome.
Thanks in advance for your replies.
