I'm trying to Plan and Produce a SINGLE material with regards to TWO routings. I'm 90percent certain that Prod Versions can do that.. Bom will remain same in both routings, only routings will need to be switched when required but not the bom.
What I want is to plan that material on one routing and then change it to another routing of my choosing.
Process will be as follows => md61 (PIR generated) --> then convert to plnd orders (MD01) ----> then convert plnd order to prd order (CO41).
I'm facing problems as follows,
1- How will I define 2 routings for a single material? Is it by using Group in routings initial screen(ca01) ? How will I define that Group and assign it to the material?
2- After all the above process is done, how will I go about filling " Production Version Details " in MRP 4 veiws?
3- How will I Plan material on the routing of my choosing on the above explained process? do I lock or unlock Prod Version? then plan with the above process? How will it work?
kindly explain in detail with TCODES, names and Screen shots(if possible) for all questions..
If Im missing something in the process or configuration kindly Let me know..
I have been doing internet research on this for the past 3 hours, so I will highly appreciate if someone can explain this in person instead of links.
